Yakima Poetry Pole

Poetry Box - North Seattle

Raul Sanchez has installed a “Poetry Pole” in Seattle. “At the beginning of COVID I installed a small Niche as a “Poetry Box” It became very popular in my neighborhood to the point I couldn’t keep the box filled. So I installed a bigger one!”

Folks can find it across the street next to the utility pole from 13748 39th Ave NE Seattle, WA 98125 (almost at 140th St NE). The neighborhood is known as Cedar Park. Part of the Lake City area, not far from the city boundary line to Shoreline on Bothell Way. All-Poetry LFL - Vashon

Vashon Island, Washington, population around 11,000, has a lot of readers and a lot of residents who believe in the value of shared resources. The island has a wealth of Little Free Libraries (see map), the latest addition being an all-poetry LFL installed in March on the property of the 1st Presbyterian Church. A project of Margaret Roncone, current poet laureate of Vashon, the LFL is kept well stocked and is much used by island poets and poetry readers.
